Readings: Today
let's use the special
before-Christmas readings: Dec 21
The first reading:
(from Song of Songs): Our hearts are happy at the coming of a loved one
Responsorial Psalm: Our
hearts await the coming of The Loved One
Gospel: John the Baptist (in Elizabeth's womb) jumps for joy at the coming of Jesus (in Mary's womb)
Reflection:
Jesus' coming into our lives means joy, peace and hope.
No human person can make our hearts as happy as Jesus can
Prayer: Jesus,
son of Mary, may your coming this Christmas
give our hearts, give our world, an increase of joy and peace and hope
