Readings
for Midnight Mass
The first reading:
A great light has appeared. A child is born to us, the Prince of Peace
Responsorial Psalm: Let
heaven and earth rejoice at the birth of our Saviour
Second reading: God's grace has appeared
Gospel: A baby in a manger, and choirs of angels
Reflection:
The birth of a baby brings joy to family
and friends.
The birth of the baby Jesus brings "joy to the world", joy to the
whole human family.
A new born baby softens the hardest and toughest heart.
Jesus' birth has a similar effect on our hearts, on our families, on our world
Prayer: Jesus,
son of Mary, Light of the World, Prince of Peace,
may we make more room for you in our hearts, you for whom there was no room in
the inn
