Readings for January 25, the Feast of the Conversion of St Paul

First reading:  Paul's life-changing journey to Damascus

Responsorial Psalm:  Spread the Message to all nations

Gospel:  Jesus' words applied to Paul: praying for the sick, unharmed by scorpion etc

Reflection:
Maybe it's not so easy to see God's grace and help in our lives....little signs of Providence that we notice occasionally.  God's grace in our lives is like a monthly payment from the Bank of Heaven. But in Paul's case, there were no monthly installments (so to speak). Paul got everything in one lump sum...on one day. And that lump sum was enormous...enough to turn his life around radically. To understand the total size of monthly payments in our lives, we can remember Paul. God treats everyone equally, so Paul's lump sum must equal our monthly installments...an enormous amount

Prayer:
Jesus, please help us better understand how much grace and help you give us in our lives .... and may we imitate Paul in helping other people know about your amazing grace
