Readings for January 27, the Third Sunday of the Year (C)

First reading:  A happy day: many people, young and old, hear God's word for the first time in their lives

Responsorial Psalm:  God's word refreshes us and make us rejoice

Second reading: We are the Body of Christ

Gospel:  God's word, presented by Luke and Jesus

Reflection:
God's word is not boring or useless or sorrowful: it's totally practical and important for our lives,
and gives us a deep peace and joy that money cannot buy

Prayer:
Jesus, please increase our love for the Bible, and through this love may our hearts, our families, our Church and our world experience your peace and joy
