Readings
for March 3, the Third Sunday of Lent (C)
First reading: God
reveals his Name: "I am Who Am"
Responsorial Psalm:
Another name for God: "Compassion and Love"
Second reading: Learn from the lessons of the past
Gospel: Another name for God: "I give you another chance"
Reflection:
People who have had "near death experiences"
speak of coming back to life as "a second chance"....and they live
their lives much better...e.g. give more time to their families.
No matter what mistake we have ever made, God gives us a second chance.
The only thing that God can't forgive is a refusal to be forgiven ("the sin
against the Holy Spirit").
Not just a second chance, but "70 times 7" second chances.
.... And we should do the same for others
And see "E" in Smile

Jesus, thank you for giving me so many second
chances. Please help me treat others the same way as you have treated me
