Readings for the Feast of St Mark (held over from yesterday, because of Anzac Day)
First Reading: Mark a disciple of Peter and Paul
Responsorial Psalm: Mark's Gospel has proclaimed God's truth for 20 centuries
Gospel:
This reading, the famous ending of Mark's
Gospel, was not written by Mark.
Better idea today: just browse through Mark's Gospel
Reflection:
Mark's Gospel was written for people in a time of
persecution.
May it give strength and courage to people today who are suffering because of
their faith
Prayer:
Dear
Jesus, may the feasts of Bible saints, like St Mark, stir up our love for the
Bible
....and give us more courage and strength in difficult times
