  Reading:  Leviticus 1-7

Moses instructed the people:

As a sign that you are asking God for forgiveness,
put your hand on an animal's head
as you sacrifice it to the Lord.

Reflection:
Saying sorry is part of life, daily life.
Saying sorry to other people.
Saying sorry to God

Prayer:
Dear God, please forgive my sins

Reading: Psalm 99

The Lord is king.  He is great in Sion.
His power is seen throughout the world.

Among his priests were Aaron, Moses and Samuel.
They prayed to the Lord and he answered their call.

Let peoples everywhere praise his name.
He is holy, full of power.

Reflection:
Some people say God does not "interfere" in the world.
But our own experience provides many examples of God's Providence and care in our lives ....so many "co-incidences" etc ....which is why we, like Aaron, Moses and Samuel, can pray...and God will answer our call

Prayer:  Lord, may all peoples know and love you ...and pray to you for help

Reading:  Colossians 3

Pray for me, in my chains,
that I may
proclaim the message of Christ as clearly as I should

Be tactful with people who are not Christians.
Use friendly conversation with them

Greetings from the believers here with me.
Greetings to all the believers in your area

Grace be with you all

Reflection:
This is a favourite text of a prisoner I know. Without going to excess, he quietly tries to proclaim the message of Christ among fellow inmates

Prayer:
Jesus, may my conversation with non-Christians help them know you

Reading:  Luke 11

Jesus said to his disciples "Ask, and it will be given to you.
Search, and you will find.  Knock, and the door will open

If children ask their parents for something good, their parents will always give it to them

Even more so  will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him

Reflection:
Who do we believe?  People who say prayer is useless, or Him who says "ask and you will receive"?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please give me your Holy Spirit!
