Reading: Psalm 5 At
the start of this day I pray to you, O Lord, my King and my God. Through
the greatness of your love, I have access to your friendship. Lead me, Lord, in the way you want me to go. It
is you, Lord, who bless good people. Reflection: Prayer: Lord, please help more people get into the habit of morning and evening prayer

Reading: Hebrews 7 Melchizedek was king of Salem and a priest of God. He blessed Abraham. Abraham gave Melchizedek 10% of all he had Melchizedek's priesthood continued down the ages in people dedicated to the service of God. It reached its perfection in the Son of God, the Eternal High Priest The Son of God, our Lord, did not come from the priestly tribe of Levi. Everyone knows he came from the tribe of Judah This is because he established a new priesthood, coming not from Levi, but from Melchizedek. This is why the prophecy was made of him "You are a priest of the order of Melchizedek, for ever" Jesus' priestly power to save us is utterly certain, since he is living for ever to intercede for all who come to God through him Reflection: |

Reading: John 2 Jesus, his mother and his disciples were guests at a wedding at Cana in Galilee The wine ran out, so Jesus' mother said to him
"They have no wine". There were 6 big containers there, used for holding water. Each could hold about 35 liters. Jesus said to the servants "Fill the containers with water" and they filled them up Jesus then said "take some out and give it to the man in charge of the banquet". When the man tasted the water, it had turned to wine The man called the bridegroom and said "You have kept the best wine until now" This was the first public miracle done by Jesus Reflection: Prayer: Jesus, please give me more faith in prayer, please give me a bit more of Mary's faith |
