2012-08-24 Minnesota Video From a reader in the USA:
This video was created here in Minnesota, USA, to show the passion some Catholics here have for inclusivity and love. This specific genesis for the video is an upcoming constitutional amendment vote seeking to put the greatest possible hurdle possible in the way of civil same-sex marriage being legalized.
But, putting aside this immediate political vote here in Minnesota, I think that this video speaks to the church we all want. “In God there is a welcome. In God we all belong.” I understand that same-sex marriage and divorce, for example, are tough issues for some churches. And, I understand that ordaining women and allowing optional celibacy are tough issues for the Catholic church. BUT, IN GOD THERE IS A WELCOME AND IN GOD WE ALL BELONG. However, it gets there, a church must figure out how to achieve that. That is where it must start and it must end. Everything else is secondary.

Thank you, dear Minnesota reader. Video is really lovely
Re
ordaining women, I agree with this article
Why
are women not being ordained to priesthood?
For
my personal view on optional celibacy, see the file
I have started The
evil of compulsory celibacy
For my personal view on the same-sex issue, please see
"What do you
think of same-sex marriage?"
This article raises a topic that no one wants to talk about,
but which needs to be faced and clarified if our dialogue
is going to be inclusive
God bless!
