Yesterday at a detention centre in Hong Kong I had the sad experience of meeting another Ugandan: a 29 year old man from Entebbe, arrested at HK airport on April 1 with 600 grams of heroin. The drugs were destined for China. The man said he did not know China has the death penalty and did not know that 20 or more Ugandans are on death row in China. The man is fortunate to have been arrested in HK rather than China.
Once
again I ask, beg, plead, cry out: PLEASE GET SOMETHING INTO THE UGANDA
MEDIA ABOUT THE DANGER OF DRUG TRAFFICKING TO HK!. MEDIA ARTICLES HAVE STOPPED
PEOPLE FROM TANZANIA COMING TO HK. UGANDAN ARTICLES CAN DO THE SAME ...IF ONLY
SOMEONE WOULD PLEASE PUBLISH SOMETHING!
I have been making this request since my visit to Uganda in January, but so
far I don't know of even one article or item that has been published. Doesn't
the Uganda media care about Ugandans being tricked into drug trafficking?
Doesn't anyone care?
If the Uganda media had published stories about drug trafficking to HK, maybe this man would not now be in prison. He leave behind three small children, the smallest is in his wife's womb.
What
a difference in South Africa. Some days ago, for the same reason, I contacted
one of the top blogs in South Africa. They published a story within 24
hours!!! It is here:

A while ago I checked blogs in Uganda. Can't find anything up to date. Can anyone please suggest something? What about a church paper? Anything .... to warn people, to stop people.
Please, please someone do something!
God bless you all! And God bless Uganda!
