O Holy Spirit, please guide me as I read these passages for today. 
May these passages give me hope, strength, wisdom, courage and peace for my daily life 

Moses continued his speech to the people:

"Listen, Israel, you are soon to cross the Jordan River,
to dispossess nations greater and stronger than yourself.

Know that the Lord your God will go in front of you.

So often in the past you  forgot the Lord.
So often you were rebels and did not obey the Lord.

In future you must rebel no more."

Dear Lord, please don't let me ever rebel against you

Lord God, I take refuge in you.
Please rescue me from people who are trying to hurt me.

Lord, please stop bad people from doing bad things.
Please help good people to keep on doing good things.

Lord, I will sing to you and thank you for your goodness to me.

Lord, please help me to avoid evil and to do good

The cup that we bless is a communion with the blood of Christ.
The bread that we break is a communion with the body of Christ

Avoid anything to do with idol worship. 
It doesn't make sense to share in the table of the Lord and in the table of demons

Whatever you eat, whatever you drink, whatever you do at all,
do it for the glory of God

Never do anything offensive to anyone.
Try to be helpful to everyone at all times, not anxious for your own advantage, 
but for the advantage of others, so that they may be saved

Take me for your model, as I take Christ

Jesus, please help me imitate you in my daily life

Jesus' apostle  John, said "Master, we saw a man who is not one of our group
casting out devils in your name. Because he was not one of us, we tried to stop him"

Jesus said "You must not stop him.
No one who works a miracle in my name is going to speak evil of me.
Anyone who is not against us is for us

In fact, even someone who gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to me,
will be rewarded"

Jesus, please help me stop dividing people into "us and them"
