O Holy Spirit, please guide me as I read these passages for today.

The kingdom of King Ahasuerus stretched from India to Ethiopia.

Ahasuerus gave a banquet for all his leading people.
But Queen Vashti refused to join the banquet.

The king therefore decided to replace Vashti as queen. 

Dear God, please bless all kings and queens in the world

Lord, I will tell everyone about how good you are.
You are our Creator. Everyone should love you.

Thank you for so often rescuing me from trouble.
You uphold my life.

Sometimes I have so many troubles and cares
that I can't get to sleep.

Sometimes I wish I was a bird 
and could fly away to a safe place.

When I fear, I will trust in you,
in you whose word I praise.

My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready.
I will sing, I will sing your praise.

Each morning I will sing of your strength,
and each morning acclaim your love.

O God, please help me to praise and love you every day

Avoid talking like this: "Tomorrow I'm going to another town, to do business there for a year "

You don't know what will happen tomorrow. 
You are no more than a mist that is here for a little while, then disappears

What you should say is: "If it's the Lord's will, tomorrow I'm going to another town for a year"

Jesus, help me to remember to say to people: "God willing, I will see you next month" 
or "Please God, I will see you next month", rather than just "I'll see you next month"

Jesus went again to Cana in Galilee, where he had changed water into wine.
In Cana  there was a royal official whose son was dying in his home in the town of Capernaum

The official asked Jesus to go to his home and cure his son.
"Sir", he said to Jesus, "come to my house before my child dies".
Jesus replied "Go home. Your son will live"

The official believed Jesus and started his journey home. While on the journey,  he was met by his servants who told him the boy was alive and well.  "The fever left him yesterday, they said, "at  1pm"

The father realized that this was the exact time when Jesus had said "Your son will live".
The official and all his household then believed in Jesus
