Christmas in prison
Christmas
is a time when families and friends come together in joy.
I cannot help but
wonder what it is like for our loved ones who cannot be with us because they are
serving time
Some people may think that those serving time deserve to be where they are. When someone close to me was put in prison, that’s when I knew never to pass judgement upon those serving time.
Most people in prison have reformed, most of them even find the Lord and they actually mean it and hence no need, at least that’s how I feel, for anyone to condemn them any further.
What
is Christmas like for them? Do they get to celebrate as a family? Do they get to
say prayers and make merry, at least this once? And what can one give at this
time and season of giving that will make our loved ones take a little peak of
the outside world and feel part of their families again…… too many
questions, very little or no answers, but one thing I know is that there is
comfort and peace in prayer

How
many people in the world will spend this Christmas in prison?
Official figure is about nine million ....but China's real figure according to
some sources is more than twelve million.....so the real figure is probably
around 20 million people in prison this Christmas - jw
