Dear Friends
Two weeks to go to Easter.
Not the same buzz in the air as the last two weeks before Christmas..
I remember someone giving a talk on liturgy
when I was in the seminary.
The speaker - at the old Corpus Christi Seminary in Melbourne -
said that we when get as excited about Easter
as we do about a football final,
we will have arrived!
The speaker lamented he'd never seen a church
with an Easter banner
outside the front door.
He'd often seen Christmas decorations.
But nothing for Easter
Not just churches, but homes, classrooms....
can we put something up for Easter
to show it's the most important day of the year for a Christian?
Having said that, it's Winter time in
Australia
and all football codes are back in action
...including the AFL which started again
last night
Go Lions! (... they sure need a resurrection...!)

Sunday readings for the Sixth Sunday of Lent.
