Dear Friends
Last Thursday I retired from school teaching.
No more English classes - unless something drastic causes a change of plans.
In future, more time for prison visits....6 days a week (most days: half day
visits)
As I went to my last class,
a 90 minute class for 24 children at Our Lady's Primary School, Wong Tai Sin,
I reflected on 40 years of teaching, and many happy memories came back:
1973-76 at Mazenod College, Melbourne
1976-80 and 1984 at Iona College, Brisbane
1981, 1982 some part-time work in
Victoria
at Moe High School, Newborough High School and Yallourn Technical School
1983 at Mazenod College in Perth
1985, 1986 some volunteer work at Argyle St
and Jubilee Vietnamese refugee camps in Hong Kong
1987-1994 English classes at Notre Dame parish in Hong Kong
1995-2001 English classes at Lantau Parish in Hong Kong
2001-2008 English classes in Zhaoqing in China
2009-2012 English classes at Oblate schools & OLPS in Hong Kong
Thank you, Jesus, for 40 years of happy
memories.
