Dear Friends
A busy but happy day yesterday:
Before
leaving home I rinsed out my washing (Thurs am job) which had been soaking
overnight
....only to find a $5 coin in one pocket. Does this constitute "money
laundering"?!
Then
I took another 60 or so copies of Simple Bible: Old Testament
(Chinese edition)
to the drug treatment center on Hei Ling Chau Island....and in a dining hall of
some 150 men
one third requested a copy of the OT (with a copy of the new Chinese edition of
"Doctor Jesus"
thrown in..."buy one, get one free"!).
DG.....because most of those men are at the centre for the 2nd or more time
and the books can help them avoid a further return
Late
afternoon I went to the government offices in Mei Foo to register the ISBN of
the 3 three new books.
Then a visit to a centre for mildly mentally and physically handicapped
women...at request of mother of one of the women.
Some 40 women at the centre. No pastor or priest or pastoral worker visits
there...."no religion" the policy...but since I'm a friend of one of
the women...no problem to visit any time....and have a chat/exchange with the
women all seated together (which is what I was allowed to do yesterday....we
even sang a song or two)
After
leaving the centre I went by metro back to Jordan to the Ricci Centre. Just
missed a train....decided to walk to head of platform for next train (each train
about 10 carriages)... but before I walked the length of 5 carriages, the next
train came!
Was just after 6pm....and peak hour metro service has to be the best in the
world...a train every minute!
After evening meal....computer homework (this website + Ming Pao recording)
Then ....a few prayers...and...no trouble going to sleep!
