Dear Friends
Last Saturday morning about 10am when I went for
a walk,
I met two dear friends not far from the Ricci Center where I live.
John and Santos are both "recent graduates" (let the reader
understand...).
They joined me in the Ricci Center for a cup of coffee
and an
historic photo
They
each been at "university" (let the reader understand...) many times.
The goal now is no more "university".
But
not easy. Many friends have been contacting them to "go back to
class".
Friends want their money when they buy "books"
I
shared with them that the only way I've ever seen anyone stay out of university
is by a four-pint, I mean a four-point, plan:
1. Weekly meeting/sharing/praying with a support group
(...and maybe in the beginning, that needs to be a daily, not weekly
arrangement)
2. Daily Scripture/prayer
3. A safe place to live, ideally with wife/children or parents/sibling (...no
"professors")
4. A proper job
Problem
is, after many "courses", the attraction of further "study"
is so strong,
and our human wills are so weak,
that most graduates won't embrace the four-point plan.
Jesus, please help John and Santos accept the 4PP!
