Dear Friends
Last
Sunday at a Chinese Mass at Chi Fu Parish in Hong Kong,
some children were standing in front of the altar
helping me with some questions and answers during the sermon.
The children were aged 5-7.
At the end of the sermon, as a summary,
I asked them about the Gospel of the day:
what did Jesus say would be in the branches of the mustard bush?
Before
any of the children could answer,
a 3 (!) year old boy, sitting on his mother's lap in the 2nd or 3rd row,
called out in Chinese "birds"!
I took the microphone to him and he confidently repeated "birds"
Admittedly
I had waved my arms like a bird's wings,
but for a little one to speak up like that....wow!
It took everyone, not least the older children,
by a great and happy surprise
Thank you, Jesus, for happy experiences like this
one!

On this
19th of the month,
Jesus please bless
the people of Shanxi
(Please join me in praying for one
part of China each day of the month)
My Bible Plan for today = Please join me in using these readings for wisdom and courage
Thank you for a prayer
God bless!
