Dear Friends
Twice in the past few weeks I've received the same advice from two different wise men:
At
Yau Ma Tei Church, when July 29 Healing Gathering was about to start, parish
priest Fr Lau popped in to meeting room to check air-conditioners. Our group had
turned on only one of the three air cons.
Fr Lau said "In this hot weather, best to turn on all 3 air-cons till room
cools...then continue with just one. Too big a task for just one to cool the
room from scratch" (or words to that effect...in Chinese)
In
my Jordan Center, my little air con has been unwell for several weeks.
Kind landlord came and gave same advice as Fr Lau: "Not good to use low
setting at start...too difficult for machine in this heat...use higher
setting"
I
can't remember ever having this problem before in Hong Kong.
No wonder more than one local these days is saying "each year getting
hotter"
Another reminder that it's real and it's dangerous
