Dear Friends
Yesterday
an article was
linked on CathNews that has the words
"If someone can be with the dying,
they need to be with them,
because very few people can do it"
When
someone is dying....not a pleasant place to be...
an awkward place....sometimes a smelly place...a sad place...
yet a sacred place
Today,
September 15, we remember a dying place of a long time ago
when a young man was being executed
Nearly
all his friends were absent from the scene.
The scene was a dangerous place to be.
One might be apprehended and suffer the same fate
But the young man's mother, his mother's sister, that sister's son, and two other woman courageously and compassionately stayed by the young man till the end
Mary,
Mother of Sorrows, please give courage and peace and strength
to all who today are walking through the valley of sorrows
