should we carry the Cross of persecution, ridicule, criticism etc
(today's
Gospel)?
One
of the best ways:
don't keep on feeling sorry for ourselves
....but get on with helping people in need/pain

God to prophet Jeremiah:
"stop belly-aching and feeling sorry for
yourself"
c.f.
Jesus on Cross:
consoled his mother, and prayed for those crucifying him
