Dear Friends
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival today! May you see a beautiful moon shine tonight! May all the children have a happy time with their lanterns tonight
Tomorrow, Monday, is a public holiday in HK, China and other places, since Mid-Autumn is falling on a Sunday
Tuesday also is a public holiday in HK and China, since National Day (Oct 1) is falling on the Mid-Autumn holiday!
Everyone in HK says "Happy Mid-Autumn" but I've rarely heard anyone say "Happy National Day".
If you ask HK people when they go overseas "Where are you from?", no one will say "From China". Everyone will say "From HK"
As China changes leaders this month, may the Lord bless it with a genuine observance of the rule of law (as well as more democracy etc). Then maybe HK people might say "I come from China"!
On this
30th of the month,
Jesus please bless
the people of Shanghai and
Tianjin
(Please join me in praying for one
part of China each day of the month)
My Bible Plan for today =
The readings for the 26th Sunday of the Year
Let's use these readings to think about the issue of "us and them"
in many areas of life
Thank you for a prayer
God bless!
