Dear Friends

About three weeks since I last used my umbrella in rain in HK.
A very dry Autumn....following a very dry Summer

For the sixth day in a row, the HK government has issued a health warning because of the dangerous level of air pollution

Less rain, more air pollution.....I hope the big meeting going on in Rome at the moment - the Synod of Bishops - might have a few seconds somewhere in its 3 week schedule to reflect on the issue of climate change

Climate change....world poverty: not big themes at Synod so far.
Maybe if the Synod was held in a poor country of West Africa
there would be more concern about climate change and world poverty.
