Dear Friends

HK's Catholic paper announced last Sunday that the "New Translation" of the English Mass is to be used from the first Sunday of Advent, December 2

For most people who attend Mass in English in HK,
English is not their first language. They often don't find it easy to understand the prayers and readings

The NT will make things worse. It's "lofty", almost poetic language will go right over the head of most local people

It's introduction is bad for the people. It will make it more difficult for them to pray

Which is why I am declining to say public English Masses in HK from Dec 2. I decline to support something that is bad for the people.  See:

On this 31st of the month, Jesus please bless the people of Tianjin
(Please join me in praying for one part of China each day of the month)

My Bible Plan for today = Please join me in using these readings ...and "may our hearts burn" in the process

Thank you for a prayer

God bless!
