Dear Friends
As the US elections dominate world news this week, spare a thought for two disenfranchised populations:
The
first is the people of China. They also will have a change of leadership at the
end of this week. But they will have no say in the change.
As they watch hour after hour of US election coverage, they will be thinking
"how come we can't vote like the Americans?"
Not only can't they vote. If they even suggest democracy, especially the forming of political parties, they will be put in prison....like this guy who was sentenced recently to 8 years jail for trying to form an opposition party and for criticizing the Communist Party
The second group equal the first group in number, more than a billion people. Like the first group, they also are ruled by a group of old men clinging to power. And if they step out of line, they too are censored....like this couple in the US
No wonder revolutions and reformations occur

On this

the people of Guangdong

part of China each day of the month)
My Bible Plan for today =
The readings for the 31st Sunday of the Year
Let's use these readings to think about the most important four letter word
in the world
Thank you for a prayer
God bless!
