Dear Friends
Yesterday I got a train to Sheung Shui station, then a mini-bus to Lo Wu women's prison, for the monthly Mass there
Opposite me on the train was a mother with two young children seated on her right. She answered their questions, and kept them very well behaved for the 40 minute journey
Only as the train was approaching Sheung Shui did I realize that a man sitting on the woman's left was her husband. He had spent the 40 mins playing with a game machine. During the 40 mins there had not been even the slightest communication between him and his wife, or between him and his children. He was living in a different world
I felt really sorry for the woman and her children, and said a prayer that the husband might come back to their world
