Dear Friends
Last Friday night I went to a Christian bookstore to get some items for prisoners. The owner of the store said how a neighbouring Christian book store recently closed down.....because of internet etc, as in this report:
The decline in Christian bookstores is directly related to the decline of the print publishing industry. Both religious and commercial bookstores are facing challenges posed by e-readers, online retailers and a culturally linked decline in readers.
Above owner went further: he said people are losing interest in God.
All
the more reason for us to make a determined effort to do some spiritual reading
each day, especially from the Bible....to keep the flame of God's love alive in
our hearts.
As David Timbs says in his excellent article today "Did
not our hearts burn within us...? Christians can survive without Sunday
worship, but can't survive without the Bible
