Why
are leaders unable to lead?
- President Obama before Connecticut unable/unwilling to change US gun laws
- bishops afraid to speak out about topics the Vatican doesn't want to hear
about
- company executives unable/unwilling to change policy in the light of new
situations (...this is the way we've always done it...)
A striking contrast: the leadership former Australian Prime Minister John Howard
showed in
getting tough gun legislation passed.
I was very critical of John Howard re Iraq and other issues, but on the issue of
gun laws one has to admit he showed outstanding leadership
May President Obama, and our beloved bishops, receive a double portion of John Howard's gun legislation leadership spirit!
