Dear Friends
Over the past week I've spent extra time in the prisons giving out the newly published Simple Bible: Gospels (Chinese edition)
For a while I found it hard to wish the men "Merry Christmas"....not so merry behind bars....so I started saying "Christmas peace" as I shook their hands
But every one of them...hundreds of them...all replied "Merry Christmas"!
For the inmates Christmas is a time of hope, a time of joy....despite being behind bars
So too for people in grieving/unhappy/difficult situations: Christmas is a time of hope and peace

God for Christmas!
