Yesterday afternoon and last night saw some of the wildest weather people have ever experienced in South East Queensland
More than 250,000 homes without power; train services stopped for most of yesterday; beaches destroyed; homes flooded
At times like this there's only one thing to do: make sure you and your family are in a safe place.... don't go outside....and pray: "God, please protect our town"
Which reminds me: I remember when I was very young and there was a dangerous storm with fierce lighting, thunder and heavy rain. My mother would light a candle and put it on the kitchen table as a prayer for protection
