Today is the Eve of Lunar New Year. Tonight Chinese families all over the world will have a special meal together, either at home or at a restaurant
December 31, the New Year's Eve of the solar calendar, is also a time for celebration....parties, drinking etc. But for Lunar New Year Eve the emphasis is on family celebration
The next three days are public holidays in Hong Kong, China and many other places....the first three days of the lunar new year. Not just one holiday for New Year's Day as for the solar calendar, but three days!
