Dear Friends
At
Pope Benedict's farewell gathering with the cardinals on February 28,
about 140 cardinals were present. That's 140 out of about 180. No doubt
illness etc prevented a few from attending. But it's interesting that more than
30 did not make it....including quite a few due to take part in the conclave.
A once-in-600 year farewell gathering...one would expect all the cardinals to be
there
Someone
messed up the arrangements? Conflict of dates? Last minute notification?
