Dear Friends
To my shame only yesterday did I know that Cardinal Tagle is part Chinese. His mother is from China. She attended his installation as cardinal in Rome
Cardinal Tagle is able to speak Chinese. He is ethnic Chinese
Which
leads to the big thought:
A Polish pope had a huge effect on Russian Communism.
A Chinese pope could help China and the Church become friends again!
May the Holy Spirit put this thought into the hearts of the conclave cardinals!
Tagle's love for the poor, his humble and simple life style, his willingness to speak up for justice and reform in the Church ....he's now my preferred candidate!
p.s. On the first Sunday after his ordination, Tagle did the usual Sunday thing for priests in the Philippines: he said 9 Masses on the one day! (in this article...which has lots more impressive info about him). He knows a bit about the shortage of priests....
