Dear Friends
Yesterday I was in a bit of daze for most of the time....a tired but happy daze (linked to a shortage of sleep from following conclave news) that we now have Pope Francis. See more comments at Pope Francis - Day One
I also felt a great sense of relief....maybe a bit like a mother after having given birth to a baby...tired but happy....maybe like people rejoicing when democracy is restored after the downfall of a dictator (that's a bit strong but it has more than a grain of truth)
Over the past few years, so many of us have prayed and lobbied long and hard for a pope like Francis
For loyal readers of this little blog, how about last Sunday's blog praying for a Francis pope!
All we can say is "Thank you Lord"
And we must keep up our prayers and lobbying to support and protect the baby Francis from any Herods who might be plotting against him
