Dear Friends
Yesterday
at Hei Ling Chau Correctional Centre, more washing of feet.
Men very interested to know that Pope will be washing inmate's feet
tonight.
The more we hear of Pope Francis, the more we must thank God for this new pope. Latest news is that Francis gets up at 4.30 each morning for two hours prayer (see item on today's menu)
One hope: he will be a Rock (.."you are Peter...and on this rock..") rather than a rock star. Not easy in his position. Maybe one help would be if he didn't process in at start of Mass (during which time pope is usually applauded/photographed etc like a rock star)...but just appears from side/back of altar during the opening hymn of Mass...so that the focus is on God, not on pope. Easier said than done, but worth a try
