Dear Friends
The front page of Easter Sunday's South China Morning Post had a moving photo of Pope Francis holding and blessing a paralysed man
Francis has a history of caring for and praying for the sick. He also has a history of taking part in charismatic prayer services and Masses. Which means I presume he usually prays for the sick to be healed
So, as a way of supporting him I am starting a personal little prayer campaign (= a simple prayer each day) that the Good Lord will specially bless Francis' prayers for the sick....and improvements in the condition of sick people prayed for by Francis will encourage some of his detractors to show more respect for him
Mind
you, this didn't work for Jesus. He did miracles right under the noses of
his detractors and that just made things worse in their eyes
....so blinded with jealousy were they
But may Francis' detractors (e.g. people who support blogs like that of Fr Z) be won over by the goodness of Francis and the power of his prayers for the sick
A daily prayer: Jesus, please bless Pope Francis' prayers for the sick!
