Dear Friends
One of the aims of Vatican II was Ecumenism - trying to promote Christian Unity among all the various denominations
It's good that old prejudices have gone. It's not good that Ecumenism has stalled in recent years (at least at the local level....not much progress)
May our new pope inspire all Christians, especially Catholics, to give more importance to Ecumenism
With
sadness I must record that in my 28 years in Hong Kong, I have never heard of
the existence of a
"Ministers' Fraternal" as in other countries (where pastors of the
various denominations in a local area meet once a month for sharing). I
once tried to start such a group, but didn't have any success. Should add there
are some good things happening on the Ecumenical front ...but they are largely
academic
