Happy Pentecost! May Pentecost this year be a time of fresh blessings for our hearts, our families, our Church and our world. My feeling this year is "Come Holy Spirit, we need you"! So many problems, so many issues in the Church and in the world ....we need your Grace as never before
May
the Holy Spirit who sprang one Heaven of a surprise
- in Mary's life at the Incarnation,
- in the lives of the apostles at Pentecost
- and in the election of Pope Francis
...may that same Holy Spirit continue to spring Heavenly surprises big and small today and every day

26 years ago today I paid my first visit to Zhaoqing in China, where Matteo Ricci spent 6 years. I spent a night in Zhaoqing on May 19, 1987 ....photo of accommodation receipt (not Y30, not Y13, but Y3 for one night....that's less than US2!)
