In the opening item on today's menu When the Holy Spirit suddenly comes down on someone Joseph Girzone breaks the rules and gives Communion to people not water-baptized. A similar thing happens at the end of his beautiful novel The Homeless Bishop
One can't but help feel that Girzone and the homeless bishop are acting as Jesus would act
Which leads to the conclusion: when Church rules no longer follow the mentality and purpose and love of Jesus, they don't have to be followed
We should follow only those rules which follow Jesus
