Dear Friends
Yesterday I attended a meeting for prison chaplains
Not enough priests are available, so deacons are now taking over
Catholics
nowhere near as concerned about prisons as Evangelicals.
Evangelicals have many more active chaplains than Catholic Church has
Evangelicals
also have women chaplains (for women's prisons).
Catholic women, even sisters/nuns, not allowed to be chaplains,
because according to HK law, only ordained people may be chaplains.
So...priests and deacons ok, ordained....but not sisters/nuns, not ordained
May the day soon come for women deacons in the Catholic Church
...and may many good sisters/nuns be ordained immediately!

- especially dear friends battling cancer.....
Thank you for a prayer
God bless!
