I've just started re-reading Pastor Hsi - the story of a prominent Confucian scholar who became a drug addict ...and then a great Christian evangelist
Yesterday I took the book with me and read some of it on the boat to and from Hei Ling Chau drug treatment center - where I visited some 300 drug addicts
The book re-enforces St Paul's teaching: our struggle is with unseen forces
And the book says that without help from a higher power, drug addicts - like alcoholics - stand little hope of recovery
