On this night in 1989, despite Typhoon Signal No. 3 being launched, some 30,000 Hong Kong people braved heavy rain to assemble at Victoria Park as a powerful expression of concern and sympathy about what was happening in Beijing

years later Hong Kong people have not forgotten June 4. Each year a huge
number assembles on this night.
Tonight more than 100,000 are expected
Why?

- HK people's love for justice and law
- HK people's concern that what happens in China might happen in HK
