Day after day, week after week, articles about Francis are the main stories of
most Catholic websites and magazines
This has a good side: it's giving Francis support in his effort to renew and reform the Church
But there's a downside: he's becoming a super-star like John Paul II. This makes one wonder about the hope that he will down-size the papacy and decentralize the Church
My
hope is that after a necessary year of re-structuring - for which he needs to
stay in Rome - he will spend several weeks each year in each of the main
geographical areas of the world, supporting his co-ordinator in that area ....as
in A Politburo
Papacy? .....rather than staying in Rome as the focus of regular huge
gatherings
