Dear Friends
Yesterday morning during my weekly prayer service for inmates at Lai Chi Kok Detention Centre, several speakers held up the example of Nelson Mandela who chose hope rather than despair during his 27 years in prison
Pope Francis is giving a good example of choosing hope
May we also make a conscious decision to choose hope each day ...e.g. by trying not to give in to negative/pessimistic thoughts about people/places/events...replacing such thoughts with a prayer for those people/places/events
