Dear Friends
Yesterday I took an OMI priest visitor to a Pakistan canteen for lunch ...canteen staff include several ex-inmates (mostly refugees who worked illegally ...refugees not allowed to work). I like to give the canteen a bit of business, and usually go there every month or so. This time I also wished all the Muslim staff a Happy Ramadan
But then in the afternoon as I was going down stairs of Jordan Metro station, three Pakistan young teenagers were in front of me...and in front of them was a Jewish man (wearing a skull cap). One of the teenagers started making fun of the Jewish man behind his back....so I gave the teenager a strong poke in his own back....and when he turned around to see who poked him I gave him my best unhappy-stern-teacher look ...at which he stopped making fun of the Jewish man and peacefully continued going down the stairs
God
of Abraham, may we three Abrahamic faiths - Judaism, Christianity and Islam -
show more respect for each other
and not teach our children to make fun of other faiths
