Dear Friends
Today's anniversary of the first Protestant missionary to China, Robert Morrison ...who spent most of his missionary life in China producing the first Protestant Chinese Bible .... reminds us that our Reformation brothers and sisters have had a lot more love for the Bible than we Catholics over the last few centuries
On the plane from Rio to Rome, Pope Francis said he hopes this year to visit Israel and Palestine
DV this visit will happen ....and during it the Pope will encourage all Catholics to take the Bible more seriously...in the sense of daily Bible reading and study
As Pope John Paul II once said, many Catholics are spiritually under-nourished for lack of Bible reading
