Dear Friends
At 5.45 pm last Friday I called the Police Drug Reporting Hotline: 2527 1234 ....to ask for some advice re the case of the Tanzanian man (in HK) who urgently wanted to see me ....because this website's January 28 article Drug Mules caused his "uncle", a prominent Tanzanian politician, to be arrested (see menu of August 3, below)
Hotline had a recording ..."busy, please leave message"....so I left a message and my number
To date, no reply from Hotline. Hotline not very hot
And no
more contact with the "nephew". I tried to phone him
yesterday morning (as I said I would on Friday night)
but his phone was not turned on. Urgent need not so urgent.
Maybe if the "nephew" urgently calls again I'll suggest he urgently call the above Hotline which handles urgent calls?!
On a more serious note, may this whole thing lead to fewer Africans being tricked into drug trafficking ...and may it lead to the government in Tanzania (and other places) taking action to combat the drug lords who trick people into becoming drug mules
