Dear Friends
Usually each Friday at Lai Chi Kok Detention Centre, a kind pastor from Nigeria, Pastor Collins (Four Square Church) helps me with the weekly ecumenical prayer service (10am to noon)
But he doesn't have a chaplain's pass, so he has to wait at the main gate until a welfare officer takes him to the chapel each week. Sometimes he has to wait quite a while, because the welfare officers are busy
Two Fridays ago he had to wait for more than an hour. Welfare staff had a meeting and were not free. Most people might have reacted with the thought: "well, if that's the way it is, I'm not coming any more. I get the message...you don't want me"
But
last Friday Pastor Collins came as usual...had to wait only half an hour.
I thought to myself: a great example of humility
God bless!
