The first sentence of this article says

The bishops should present Christian doctrine in a manner adapted to the needs of the times, that is to say, in a manner that will respond to the difficulties and questions by which people are especially burdened and troubled.

In 2014, maybe Catholics would put the following in their list of burdening and troublesome issues:

- abuse crisis

- Church leaders not listening to the people

- divorce (more than 40% of Catholics in divorce situation)

- shortage of priests, churches being closed down

- same-sex marriage

- younger generation no longer going to church

Jesus, please give bishops wisdom and courage to speak the truth about troublesome issues
