One idea from this article:
Bishops should regard their priests as sons and friends and be ready to listen to them. Through their trusting familiarity with their priests they should strive to promote the whole pastoral work of the entire diocese.
In many parts of the world, dioceses are too large for the above words to be put into practice. How can a bishop really be in regular personal communication with 100 or more priests?
Imagine a football coach trying to coach a team with 100 players
Needed: smaller dioceses...maximum of 50 priests
Jesus, please help the Church re-structure dioceses to make them more like a personal family rather than an impersonal business
